What happens when you work really hard to make things happen, but things just don’t go your way? Welcome in stress, anxiety and frustration.

We find out how strong we are in the moments of uncertainty. The unplanned events – layoffs, death, disease or divorce – can come crashing into our world like a masquerade of emotional turbulence.

It is a guarantee that we will experience moments of uncertainty. In our quest to reach happily ever after, life will inevitable do its part to deliver rough patches and situations that test our limits.

When holding on to something hurts our health and potential to be happy, we have to look closely at why we are choosing to stay.

The faster you can let go of what is not working the sooner you will welcome in what does.

On the contrary, sometimes life will force change onto us. The unexpected breakup, health issue or job loss can slow us down and make us question our values.

Life is a balance of holding on and letting go. We strive to make the right choice but how do we know when it is truly time to let go and move on?

Romantic relationships, jobs, even places we live have an expiration date. Whether we choose to quit them or the universe pushes the change on to us, you can be certain that change will always happen.

Change is the only constant in life. We can roll up our sleeves and dive into the great unknown with guts, courage and glory, or we can resist the universal flow and cheat on our future with our past.

If you are in the midst of life change, or things just aren’t going according to your plan consider trying out these tricks.

  1. Clear your fear of the unknown*
  2. Let go of thinking everything is supposed to last. (The end-all-be-all mindset.)
  3. Recognize there is a time and place for everything.
  4. Create a Best Case Scenario list.
