How to Navigate a Major Life Change with Grace and Ease

I want to share a quote I just came across from Anthony Bourdin: “Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts; it can even break your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you – it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you…Hopefully you leave something behind.”

It’s no secret that I love to travel, for one reason because it is such a strong metaphor for life. Look at the above quote again and replace the word “travel” with “life.” Life isn’t always comfortable, it isn’t pretty, but that’s okay…the journey changes you.

Diving into the journey is one of the most difficult things to do because most of us are so focused on the destination. If you are smack dab in a transition or getting ready to make a major life change, you want to navigate the transition with grace and ease. Today’s video can help.

I recently applied these tips to my own life as I made a major life change to move overseas. I am now living in Morocco for the next 30 days, and these tips helped me stay calm, cool, and oh so collected.

Shannon, you are so good at what you do! Thank you so much for this message. This past May I graduated from college with an A.A., and now, as I’ve just completed an 8 week internship today, I am in the process of more changes and an uncertain future, so your tips, advice, and wisdom really hit home for me. These words are truly what I needed to hear as I face these next steps, whatever these next steps may be.
Thank you for sharing and living joy and for reminding us to accept life with grace!

These tips are very helpful for me right now to focus on what will help me to move ahead. Love your work, Shannon! much love, Shari
