How to Live a More Meaningful Life

A few months ago I sat on my couch feeling disconnected to my life. I was stuck in a routine and felt as if I was just going through the motions. I wanted to feel more, live more, be more, so I started to dream bigger.

I gave myself permission to ask what might be. What do I really want for myself and my life? When do I feel like my best self? My inner guide quickly said, “When you are traveling and writing,” so I used this information to create a new life plan for myself and made a decision to move overseas so I could travel and write.

The result: more happiness, self-love, understanding, and joy.

Today I am writing you from Fez, Morocco. This is one of the oldest cities in the world, and locals tell me that getting lost here is an underappreciated art form. Which has me thinking that in life, getting lost is also something we could learn to appreciate a little more.

As the saying goes, when we are lost, we can be found. A few months ago, I was lost in life. Nothing was really off on the outside, but I felt it on the inside. Instead of fearing this feeling, I dove into the situation and asked, “What can this feeling teach me? What is it trying to show me?” My feeling off track was an awakening to live my life in new ways. More expansive ways. Ways that make me feel connected to my best self.

What are your feelings trying to tell you?

My wish for you is that you dive into your life with arms wide open and a hope-filled heart. That you give yourself permission to dream bigger as well.

In today’s video I share powerful ways to live a life with more meaning.

Thank you so much, Shannon! You always leave me with inspiration and I feel as if you’re like one of my friends talking me through things. I’m making time to “play” today and act on your suggestions. =)
