The giver also needs to receive

I am in your inbox today to wish you a happy holiday season, and share that sometimes the healers need healing too. Sometimes those who give so much, need to receive. And sometimes the help, needs to be helped…

Have you ever had a life experience happen that was so unexpected, sudden and traumatic that it turned your entire world upside down?

A month ago when Chance, my rescue, service dog’s, back legs gave out and instantly he became completely immobilized, my whole life changed in an instant. To make matters worse the vet’s discovered, unfortunately, a Malignant cancerous tumor, Hemangiosarcoma cutaneo. After checking to make sure metastasis had not occurred and removing the growth, the doctors confirmed he could not walk because his bilateral cruciate ligaments had ruptured in both knees, and he needed bilateral TPLO surgery (both back knees operated on).

To support Chance we have started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds that will help ease the financial burden and lower the emotional physical and mental stress that we’ve has encountered to save him.

Please check out the GoFundMe mission and share with loved ones, donate, and spread the word.

Your kind contribution will help Chance regain his mobility and live life to the fullest again.

This experience has taught me many lessons mainly that we absolutely need each other and coming together in times of distress and exhaustion is important, and it’s not only OK to ask for help it is necessary. We all need one another and coming together is what life is all about… and most importantly, sometimes the helpers and healers also need help.

Chance is such an amazing service dog, companion, and best friend. We must not forget that sometimes the helpers and healers need help too. We ask if Shannon and Chance have impacted your life and touched your heart in any way, that you give whatever you can from your own heart.

This experience has taught us many lessons, mainly that we absolutely need each other, and coming together in times of distress and exhaustion is important, and it is not only okay to ask for help — it is necessary. We all need one another and coming together is what life is all about.
