3 Surprising Signs It Is Time for a Major Life Change

I just booked a ticket to Paris, France. in 48 hours I will be there, in the city where I found my true self.

Paris has a special place in my heart because in 2009, I was in corporate, working in advertising and stuck, depressed, and unclear of what to do with my life, I came to Paris with only one desire: to take “me time” and get away from the hustle of my corporate life. Little did I know that small act of honoring my heart’s calling was the catalyst to my entire life purpose and finding true joy.

While in Paris, I was so inspired by the people, the food, the culture, that I started to write. And in the act of writing, I found joy unlike anything I had ever experienced before. I remember sitting at my computer in the small studio I rented in the 9th arrondissement, declaring, “This is it! This is what I want to do with my life. I am a writer!”

But at the time I was stuck in my life, unsure of how to make a life change. I thought things like, “How could I go from corporate climber to being my own boss and working from anywhere in the world?” “I can’t make a living doing what I love,” “No one will want to read what I have to say.” Fears kept stopping me.

It is a good thing I didn’t listen to those fears, because today, I am here in Paris, seven years later, celebrating my life.

I just finished my next book and will send it to my publisher soon. I am living my dreams daily, and I get to work from anywhere in the world. This was my goal—what is your dream? Are you longing for a major life change?

If you feel stuck, or dream about new ways of living, you may be in desperate need of a major life change, too. I know I was.

In today’s fabulous video, I share with you three surprising signs it is time to make a change in your life. You’ll love the inspiration and the tips you can apply to your life immediately.

Watch video here.

Here are three surprising signs it is time for a major life change:

1. When you feel complacent or bored with your life.

Staying in situations that no longer serve you always produces a byproduct of discomfort. You may feel complacent, bored, or just uninspired. Give yourself permission to follow your heart and step into your future. When you do this, you will let go of what isn’t working and you will be able to invite in more opportunities for what you want.

2. When the situation causes you more pain than joy.

If the situation you are in is causing you more stress than joy, it is a clear sign that the situation has expired. A lot of the times we stay stuck because we are holding on to things that we are supposed to let go of. So let go and watch yourself feel more freedom and joy. The reason most of us don’t let go is because we don’t have full faith in our future. Dig within yourself to find the courage to trust yourself and your life, because when you take the steps, one step at a time, your path will reveal itself—but you must first take the step.

3. When the situation is holding you back from growing and being who you want to be.

We are always growing and learning new things, but sometimes we get stuck because we stay in situations that don’t serve us anymore. If you are no longer growing as a person, or you feel like you can’t advance anymore, it might just be time for you to let go and step into a new phase of your life.

OH GOD, you found my story as I too hit all 3 marks. But I only have SSDI as my income and at nearing 59, how the heck could I do anything like you did? I have acute anxiety, and clinical depression. But for the sake of God go I.

I had began thinking of leaving the country, even researching countries good for American’s to retire in. I got myself excited, felt the blood running through my veins and wore a smile I had lost some 21 months prior.

All I want to do is thrive, be happy and find joy and peace in my life. This country is too expensive and I am too unwell to figure it out myself.

YOU GO WOMAN! I am so proud to here of you and how you got “unstuck” and are thriving in your new home country and bless you for sharing this message.
