How To Not Let Your Inner Critic Crush You

Is your inner critic trying to sabotage your success? Our inner voice can be nasty and really bring us down. Before I left for my around-the-world lifestyle to truly take my business of coaching and writing location independent, my inner critic reared its ugly head. It tried to tell me, “You are making a huge mistake. This is the worst thing you could do at this stage in your life. What about all the missed opportunities that will happen when you are gone?”

Luckily, I didn’t listen to my inner citric, and today, almost three months into my around-the-world journey, I am happier than I’ve ever been and my business is better than it’s ever been. You see, when we follow our hearts and listen to our inner guide instead of our inner critic, our life begins to work better.

We are less stressed, less bored, healthier and happier.

1. Prioritize Self-Care

Your inner critic often criticizes you for not doing enough or showing up the best way for yourself, and this can be crippling. Instead of listening to your inner critic, take action and take care of yourself. Self-care isn’t just about nutrition, exercise, and making sure you have your green juice every day. It is about taking care of your needs ,including your dreams and following your heart. Prioritizing what bring you happiness and joy will help you feel more aligned to your best self, and when you Are

2. Confront Your Inner Critic

The negative voice will do everything it can to try to bring you down. A good tool is to confront it. Become aware of the inner critic voice and say, “Fear voice, don’t bring me down today.” You can even address it and say, “You aren’t real” then immediately counter it with a more positive voice that is loving and kind.

3. Lean into Love

If your inner critic is taking over, you can transform your judgment by focusing on a love-filled voice. Ask yourself, what would love say? What would love do? These small steps practiced daily will help you avoid the crushing critic so you can live with more peace and joy.
