My Top 3 Success Secrets

I love that I can work from anywhere in the world.  This weekend I am heading to Canada, getting ready to lead a keynote speech on empowerment and how we can tap in to our truest potential. This is my life’s work, my passion, my true purpose. I am honored and blessed to do what I love every day.

But it wasn’t always this way.

I know what it’s like to hate the job you go to. I know what it’s like to feel like your soul is suffocating because I was detached from my purpose. I used to cry myself to sleep every night from so much fear and I’d excuse myself at work meetings because the anxiety was so bad.

After my doctor diagnosed me with clinical depression, I had a wake-up call. I thought to myself,

I can choose the direction of my life and I want happiness; I choose fulfillment.

The core of my depression and anxiety was the fact that I was resisting my true self. I wasn’t honoring my calling or listening to my inner voice, the one that said, “Fulfillment is possible and you were made for more.”

Do you have that inner pull too…?

The one that says, there’s got to be more than this? I want to be happier? I know I have a purpose and I want to lead a passionate life?

Answer that call! The world needs you and that special gift that only you have.

Here’s the thing, the dreams tucked in your heart are signatures to your own fulfillment.

Honor them, trust them. Cherish them. Do not shy away from them. Your future self will thank you. Because when you are happy, everyone else around you will be too.

If fear is holding you back from going after your dream, then perhaps these words from Steven Pressfield can help. Whenever I am feeling doubtful or flooded with fear, I return to this passage from my book Adventures for Your Soul.

“Fear is good. Like self-doubt, fear is an indicator. Fear tells us what we have to do. Remember our rule of thumb: The more scared we are of a work or calling, the more sure we can be that we have to do it. Resistance is experienced as fear; the degree of fear equates to the strength of Resistance. Therefore the more fear we feel about a specific enterprise, the more certain we can be that that enterprise is important to us and to the growth of our soul. That’s why we feel so much Resistance. If it meant nothing to us, there’d be no Resistance.”

What are you resisting?

Chances are there is purpose and passion within you that is bursting to come alive.

Today is a friendly reminder to honor yourself by committing to a passionate life.

Imagine being so fulfilled by the work you do that you forget you are actually working. No more drama, no more stress, no more financial woes. Because the truth is, your dreams matter and they are the signature to your potential.
